Mason Staz brings over 20 years of playing experience and a deep love for baseball to his role as coach at AIM Sports Complex. His journey began at age four, when his father first introduced him to the game, sparking a passion that carried him through two decades of competition filled with friendships and unforgettable moments. Mason played at North Iredell High School before earning his undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Science from Roanoke College. With two years of eligibility remaining due to COVID, he went on to Barton College, where he continued playing while completing a Master’s in Kinesiology.
During his time at Barton, he began giving lessons and discovered his true passion for coaching—helping players enjoy the small accomplishments while building confidence. Mason is dedicated to giving back to both the game and the community by guiding athletes to improve their skills while encouraging positivity and a lasting love for baseball.
At AIM Sports Complex, our team shares a passion for sports, mentorship, and community. Each staff member brings unique experiences and skills, but we are united by a single vision—to provide athletes of all ages with a place to grow, both on and off the field. We believe in teaching the game the right way, building confidence through discipline and encouragement, and creating an environment where families feel welcome and athletes feel inspired. More than just a facility, AIM is a community dedicated to developing not only strong players but strong people.
